Soccer Game Preview: First Colonial vs. Manteo

The First Colonial Patriots will take on the Manteo Redskins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

First Colonial is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home last Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Hickory a 4-0 shutout. Kylie White had the honor of scoring the game-winner for First Colonial.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manteo). They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over Northeastern on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for Manteo, who have now won three matches in a row.

First Colonial took their victory against Manteo in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0. Will First Colonial repeat their success, or does Manteo has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
