Baseball Recap: Central Valley Beats Ridgeline for Their Fifth Straight Win

While Central Valley's victory against Ridgeline wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday. The one-run effort marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory (which was Central Valley's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Ridgeline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Central Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Gonzaga Prep at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Bears have won four straight at home dating back to last season, while the Bullpups won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Meanwhile, Ridgeline will face off against rival Shadle Park at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
