Softball Recap: Girls Prep Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bradley Central on Monday, Girls Prep came back down to earth. The Girls Prep Bruisers fell 9-5 to the East Hamilton Hurricanes on Tuesday. The Bruisers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Jayla Gladden made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Calieah Reyes, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Girls Prep now has a losing record of 1-2.

Girls Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Rhea County on the 7th. As for East Hamilton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Silverdale Academy on the 6th.
