Soccer Recap: Avon Grove Comes Up Short

Avon Grove lost against Bishop Shanahan back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Devils lost 4-0 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Avon Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Bishop Shanahan are ranked 33rd).

Avon Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-3. As for Bishop Shanahan, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Avon Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Shanahan, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pottsgrove at 3:30 p.m. on October 3.
