Softball Recap: Lincoln Park Academy Comes Up Short

Lincoln Park Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-16 heartbreaker at the hands of the Port St. Lucie Jaguars.

Lincoln Park Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Port St. Lucie, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8-1.

Coming up, Lincoln Park Academy will be playing at home against Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Greyhounds are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Port St. Lucie, they will square off against Master's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 13.8 runs per game this season.
