Volleyball Recap: Harrison Falls Short of West Caldwell Tech in the Playoffs

Harrison and West Caldwell Tech squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Harrison had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Blue Tide's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Harrison started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Leading West Caldwell Tech to victory were Dennis Ayora and John Jimenez. Ayora had 37 assists and eight digs, while Jimenez had 20 digs and five assists. Ayora is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 39 games he's played dating back to last season.

Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 28-3. As for West Caldwell Tech, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-7.

As of now, neither Harrison nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
