Baseball Game Preview: Glidden-Ralston Wildcats vs. Woodbine Tigers

Glidden-Ralston is 0-10 against Woodbine since May of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Wildcats will host the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Glidden-Ralston will be strutting in after a victory while Woodbine will be coming in after a loss.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Glidden-Ralston and Boyer Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wildcats walked away with a 12-8 win over the Bulldogs on Friday. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Bulldogs on their field since June 26, 2019.

Meanwhile, Woodbine has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.92 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against Hinton, falling 13-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since June 12, 2024.

Glidden-Ralston's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Woodbine, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Glidden-Ralston suffered a grim 17-4 defeat to Woodbine in their previous meeting back in June of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
