Softball Recap: Terry Comes Up Short

Terry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sweeny Bulldogs. If the Rangers were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in February of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Terry saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamiyah Breaux, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Terry's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-2. As for Sweeny, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Terry will be taking part in a tournament against Fort Bend Hightower at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rangers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hurricanes have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Sweeny, they will square off against Bellville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
