Football Recap: Pleasant Valley Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Pleasant Valley was not quite Liberty's equal in the second half on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 28-14 to the Lightning. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Lightning are ranked eighth).

Pleasant Valley now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Liberty, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasant Valley will welcome Dubuque Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Iowa City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
