Softball Recap: Los Banos' Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Los Banos took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Dos Palos, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Los Banos Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Dos Palos Broncos 6-5. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four contests in a row.

Gracie Orozco was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Orozco wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Shayla Hernandez, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

Los Banos' win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Los Banos will challenge Chowchilla at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dos Palos, they will square off against Sierra Pacific at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
