Ridgemont proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Ridgedale Rockets 3-2. For the Golden Gophers, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Rockets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-87) Ridgemont actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-22, 7-25, 25-22, 15-25, 15-12.

Cylee Streets paced Ridgemont's offense, picking up 14 kills. Streets got some help from Ruth Eckstein and her 15 assists. Finally, Olivia Newland kept Ridgemont's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Ridgemont's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Ridgedale, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Ridgemont has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Elgin on the 11th. As for Ridgedale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Temple Christian on the 11th.
