Basketball Recap: Cole Skates Past Young Women's Leadership Academy with Ease

It was a proper cat-fight when Cole duked it out withYoung Women's Leadership Academy on Friday. The Cole Cougars blew past the Young Women's Leadership Academy Cardinals 57-19. The Cougars pushed the score to 43-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals had little chance of recovering from.

Cole found their leader in freshman Avaya Brundidge, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Aniya Tillman was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Cole smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Cole's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-14. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.1 points per game. As for Young Women's Leadership Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season.
