Basketball Recap: Marion County Comes Up Short

Marion County lost against Van Buren County back in January of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Marion County Warriors took a blow against the Van Buren County Eagles, falling 69-39. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marion County now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Van Buren County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Marion County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tyner Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Van Buren County, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Sale Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sale Creek is on a three-game streak of home wins, Van Buren County a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
