Caleb Akey and Mik Denkenberger certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Akey scored 22 points along with six steals, while Denkenberger scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Akey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 21 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Mccarthy, who scored five points along with three steals.

Colton Castine had a dynamite game for Northeastern Clinton, scoring 23 points. Castine continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Jordan Brown was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Saranac Lake's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Northeastern Clinton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.
