The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Despite the loss, Victory Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Simiya Smith, who posted 30 points. The match was Smith's 24th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jania Floyd, who earned 12 points.

Shining Light Baptist Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Victory Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
