Volleyball Recap: Apache Junction Takes a Loss

Apache Junction was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Chino Valley Cougars. The Prospectors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Apache Junction ultimately came up short, they really made Chino Valley work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-18, 16-25, 26-24.

Apache Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Chino Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

After both having extra time off, Apache Junction and NFL Yet Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chino Valley, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Camp Verde on the 4th.
