Basketball Recap: Horton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Horton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Doniphan West Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Mustangs are ranked 105th).

Horton's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Doniphan West, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Horton will take on Oskaloosa in a holiday battle on Friday. The Chargers will be up against the Bears' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Doniphan West, they will head out to challenge Troy on Friday.
