Volleyball Game Preview: Red Rock Central Falcons vs. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights

Red Rock Central hasn't had much luck against Russell-Tyler-Ruthton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Falcons will take on the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Red Rock Central turned things around against Southwest Minnesota Christian on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Eagles on their court since September 23, 2021.

Red Rock Central got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 32-30, 20-25, 20-25, 25-17, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton got the win against Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda last Monday by a conclusive 3-0. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Red Rock Central's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, their victory bumped their record up to 24-4.

Red Rock Central might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Russell-Tyler-Ruthton when the teams last played on October 7th. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
