You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for West Grand on Friday. They strolled past the North Park Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 40-21. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Wildcats are ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Grand's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylin Harthun, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 16 boards. Harthun is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Makaila Gifford, who went 6 for 12 en route to 14 points and five steals.
