Soccer Recap: Alvin Takes a Loss

Alvin came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to the Dawson Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for Alvin in their meetings with Dawson: they've now lost nine in a row.

Alvin's loss dropped their record down to 3-3-2. As for Dawson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alvin is set to square off against their familiar foe Dobie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dawson will face off against rival Manvel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
