St. Thomas Aquinas faced Archbishop McCarthy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Raiders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mavericks, sneaking past 3-2. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

St. Thomas Aquinas wouldn't go down easily and took Archbishop McCarthy into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-20, 23-25, 15-9.

Adriana Medrano had a dynamite game, getting 22 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

St. Thomas Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Archbishop McCarthy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
