Baseball Recap: Kecoughtan Gets the Win

Kecoughtan let Woodside stack four runs on them in the fourth inning on Thursday but luckily Kecoughtan prevailed anyway. The Warriors skirted past the Wolverines 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won four in a row.

Kason Boone was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Mumford, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Kecoughtan's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Woodside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Woodside will square off against York at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kecoughtan will be paying especially close attention to the Wolverines' contest: after the Wolverines face off against the Falcons, they'll take on Kecoughtan again at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
