Volleyball Recap: Kankakee Victorious

It's playoff time, and Kankakee had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tinley Park Titans on Tuesday.

Malea Harrison paced Kankakee's offense, picking up seven kills. Harrison were helped by Alma Melendez and Elizabeth Avalos, who contributed seven assists each. Harrison was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Kankakee's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Tinley Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.

Kankakee will face off against Lemont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tinley Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
