Randolph-Macon Academy skates past Quantico with ease

Recap: Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets vs. Quantico Warriors

The Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets entered their tilt with the Quantico Warriors with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Randolph-Macon Academy blew past Quantico 77-27 on the road on Tuesday. Given Randolph-Macon Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Quantico is ranked 401st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Randolph-Macon Academy to victory were Bilal Kebbay and Chidera George. Kebbay scored 16 points along with eight steals and six rebounds, while George dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. George is crushing the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Johnathan Doku was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Randolph-Macon Academy pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Quantico, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Randolph-Macon Academy will take on Wakefield School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Randolph-Macon Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Quantico, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wakefield Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
