Baseball Recap: Lewiston Wins Going Away Against Moscow

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Lewiston was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Moscow Bears. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 4, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Brighton Schumacher was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Tucker Green was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Lewiston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .385 that Moscow posted.

Lewiston now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Moscow, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-6.

Lewiston will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
