Baseball Recap: Windham Comes Up Short

Windham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Bacon Academy Bobcats, falling 18-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Whippets of the 18-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Windham saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Armani Crespo, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Windham's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bacon Academy, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windham will square off against Stonington at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Bears have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bacon Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Waterford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bobcats 3.6, the Lancers 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
