Basketball Game Preview: Everett Seagulls vs. Monroe Bearcats

Everett and Monroe are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Everett Seagulls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Monroe Bearcats at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Everett took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-46 win over Stanwood.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monroe). They blew past Marysville-Pilchuck, posting a 79-37 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Bearcats sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Monroe pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Everett, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
