Basketball Recap: Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Christian Academy was the 62-59 winner over Paoli when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Christian Academy Warriors took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Paoli Rams on Saturday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Joshua Renfro, who went 12 of 19 en route to 34 points. That's the most points Renfro has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josh Chancey, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Paoli, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Christian Academy will head out to challenge Providence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Paoli, they will challenge Tell City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Paoli's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
