Tipton took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Clinton Prairie, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Gophers on Saturday.

The team relied heavily on Aaden Gibbs, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Jarren Auler also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Tipton's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Clinton Prairie, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.

Coming up, Tipton will square off against Delphi Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Oracles will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clinton Prairie, they will welcome Lafayette Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Gophers 4.1, the Knights 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
