Yutan had won eight straight home games and Mylee Tichota did her part to make it nine on Friday. The Yutan Chieftains walked away with a 51-41 victory over the Southern Valley Eagles thanks in part to Tichota, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Southern Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tori Bose, who posted ten points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brynn Baily, who earned nine points and six boards.

Yutan is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Southern Valley's loss ended a 12-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-6.

Yutan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-28 defeat against Crofton on the 6th. Southern Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
