Basketball Recap: Triad Takes a Loss

Triad lost against Columbia back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 43-41. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Eddie Smajic had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up 26 points for Columbia. The matchup was Smajic's fourth in a row with at least 20 points.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Columbia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Triad will be playing at home against Civic Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia, they are taking a road trip to challenge Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
