Baseball Game Preview: Brook Hill Guard vs. Bishop Dunne Falcons

The Brook Hill Guard will head out to square off against the Bishop Dunne Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Brook Hill fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Mansfield Homeschool on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 7-6. The Guard have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bishop Dunne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-2 to Hyde Park.

Bishop Dunne saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Mills, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Bishop Dunne's loss dropped their record down to 6-15-1. As for Brook Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Brook Hill took their win against Bishop Dunne in their previous matchup back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Guard since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
