Brunswick is 10-0 against South Effingham since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Brunswick Pirates will host the South Effingham Mustangs at 7:30 p.m.

Brunswick is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Statesboro just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pirates have suffered since January 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, South Effingham hadn't done well against Glynn Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. South Effingham snuck past Glynn Academy with a 67-61 victory.

Brunswick better keep an eye on Will Harlin. He was instrumental in South Effingham's win, putting up 20 points. That's the most points Harlin has posted since back in November of 2024. Michael Hall was another key player, earning ten points.

South Effingham's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11. As for Brunswick, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 16-2.

Brunswick took their victory against South Effingham when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 84-61. Does Brunswick have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Effingham turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
