Anchor Bay had lost four straight, but after bumping their record up to 6-8 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils as they made off with a 9-0 victory. The Tars not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 10-0).

As for Grosse Pointe South, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-6 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since May 10, 2025.

For Grosse Pointe South's part, they got a good showing from Alex Foote, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Foote has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anchor Bay will square off against St. Clair at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grosse Pointe South, they will challenge Seaholm at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
