Volleyball Recap: Clarendon Hall Comes Up Short

Clarendon Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Monday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-7, 25-9.

McKinnley Beard had another great game (as she tends to do), getting 14 kills and eight aces for Andrew Jackson Academy. Beard has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 30 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella Carrigg, who had 37 assists and three aces.

Clarendon Hall's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Clarendon Hall will challenge Holly Hill Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they will face off against Patrick Henry Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
