Baseball Recap: Marina Comes Up Short

Marina had lost five straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 9-18 to make it six. They fell just short of the Newport Harbor Sailors by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by just one run.

Marina saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LUKE PRATALI, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

As for Newport Harbor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. That's two games straight that they have won by just one run.

On Newport Harbor's side, Keaton Anderson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Anderson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

While Marina had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
