Volleyball Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

Garfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Washington Tigers. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Washington, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Garfield will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Firestone at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Washington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Ellet on the 30th.
