Baseball Recap: Crestwood Comes Up Short

Crestwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 13-9 to the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 5-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2021.

Darrion Somerville made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Crestwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lower Richland, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2-1.

While Crestwood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
