Baseball Recap: Snow Canyon Gets the Win

Snow Canyon was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Madison on Friday. Snow Canyon never let Madison get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Diesel Lee, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Madison off the board.

At the plate, Ledger Shipp and Cael Johnson did most of the damage at the plate: Shipp got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, while Johnson scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those four RBI gave Shipp a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Vaughn, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Snow Canyon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Snow Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Madison, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2.

Snow Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-2 win against Jordan on the 21st. As for Madison, they will be taking part in a tournament against Moapa Valley at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
