Softball Recap: Marion Wins Going Away Against Bowler/Gresham Community

Marion was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They put the hurt on the Bowler/Gresham Community Panthers with a sharp 15-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Bailee Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Ewald, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Marion was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Marion now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for Bowler/Gresham Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Marion will be playing at home against White Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Bowler/Gresham Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
