Volleyball Recap: KK Adame and Julie Anna Lawson Secure Win for North Surry

North Surry's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the West Davidson Dragons by a score of 3-1.

While North Surry might've won, it sure wasn't easy: West Davidson scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22.

North Surry was led to victory by Julie Anna Lawson and KK Adame. Lawson had 21 digs, while Adame had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Lawson has posted since back in October of 2024.

West Davidson's loss came despite strong showings from Spencer Simerson and Alex Hester. Simerson had 11 digs and one assist, while Hester had 24 digs, 19 kills, and two blocks. Hester is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 27 games she's played dating back to last season.

The win got North Surry back to even at 1-1.

North Surry has already played their next match (against Alleghany), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for West Davidson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against North Davidson on the 13th.
