Nicholas County posted their biggest victory since December 20, 2024 on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bluegrass United Bluehawks with a sharp 70-47 win. That's more bragging rights for the Bluejackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the defeat, Bluegrass United saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Everett Pieratt dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Pieratt has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Elliot Higginbotham, who posted six points and nine rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Nicholas County and bumps their season record up to 8-6. As for Bluegrass United, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Nicholas County and Robertson County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Bluegrass United, they will square off against LKY at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
