 Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy has been on the road for three straight, but  on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Victor Valley Christian Royals at 3:15  p.m.  on Friday. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
 Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They blew past Victor Valley Christian 22-3. The  win was just what Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy needed coming off of  a  19-11 defeat in their prior  matchup.
  Kevyn Espinoza was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Espinoza has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Espinoza was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 4-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news, Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy got a  massive  performance out of  Gabriel Thornburgh, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.  Andrew Honnold was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Victor Valley Christian, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-3.
