Basketball Recap: Central Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

If Festus wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Central, they should've done a better job of containing Abbi Davenport. Central secured a 68-62 W over Festus on Thursday with plenty of help from Davenport, who posted 35 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Central's points.

Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Moss, who scored five points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (two).

Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-15. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Festus, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5.
