The Wolcott RVT Wildcats will take on the Cheney Tech Chargers at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Wolcott RVT beats Cheney Tech with 12 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Wildcats never let Weaver get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Jason Rehben made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jason Miller was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Jake Thompson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Wolcott RVT kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weaver only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Cheney Tech got the win against Windham RVT on Monday by a conclusive 17-9.
Ben Milvae was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Cheney Tech's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Spencer Johnson, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and two RBI.
Wolcott RVT's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Cheney Tech, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Cheney Tech's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wolcott RVT hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .379. It's a different story for Cheney Tech, though, as they've only averaged .232. Will they be able to contain Wolcott RVT's hitters?
Everything went Wolcott RVT's way against Cheney Tech when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Wolcott RVT made off with an 8-2 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
