Soccer Game Preview: Newbury Park vs. Oxnard

The Newbury Park Panthers will square off against the Oxnard Yellowjackets at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Newbury Park's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Newbury Park is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Camarillo two weeks ago. Newbury Park and Camarillo finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, for the first time since December 5th, Oxnard was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. They played to a draw too, finishing 2-2 against Fillmore.

Brian Romero and Miguel Fernandez scored both of Oxnard's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Oxnard's draw makes their record 5-4-2 this season. As for Newbury Park, they moved theirs to 4-2-1.
