Basketball Recap: Ripon Comes Up Short

Ripon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Markesan Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since February 15, 2024.

Ripon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Markesan, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripon will face off against Waupun at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Markesan, they will venture away from home to challenge Montello at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
