Softball Recap: Leetonia Comes Up Short

Leetonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to the United Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-5 on Monday.

Leetonia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Ellis-Russell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Leetonia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for United, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

Looking ahead, Leetonia will host Malvern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for United, they will take on Columbiana at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
