Baseball Recap: Northland Christian Comes Up Short

Northland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mansfield Homeschool Knights.

Northland Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Herron, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Northland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mansfield Homeschool, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.

Northland Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tomball Kings at 3:30 p.m. on March 31st. As for Mansfield Homeschool, they will take on St. Thomas Catholic in a tournament on Saturday.
