Soccer Game Preview: Halifax County vs. Tunstall

The Halifax County Comets are taking a road trip to take on the Tunstall Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Halifax County fought the good fight in their overtime game against George Washington on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 4-2 to the Eagles. Halifax County's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Tunstall had just enough and edged out Mecklenburg County 3-2 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Tunstall.

Maddox Tubbs and Jadon Hawker scored all three of Tunstall's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 31 goals.

Tunstall's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Halifax County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Halifax County skirted past Tunstall 2-1 when the teams last played last Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
